What are no-shows costing you?
Put in your own numbers: no industry averages, nothing sent anywhere. The example values are placeholders, so replace them.
For reference only, not used above (vendor data, so check the region and year): Fresha UK, May–Aug 2024, no-shows were 3.8% of appointments overall (hair 3.16%, nails 3.55%, beauty 3.59%, brows & lashes 6.55%, barbers 21.16%). Zenoti US/Canada, 2024: salons had 3% no-shows and 8% cancellations. E15: Fresha via Professional Beauty · E16: Zenoti
Months are your yearly figure divided by 12. “Lost” is the value of empty slots at your average price, not profit, and it assumes a no-show slot earns nothing unless you refill it. The deposit line assumes every unrefilled no-show had paid the deposit you entered.

Questions owners ask
Why no industry averages?
Published no-show rates come from booking-software vendors and conflict: barbers are 21.16% in Fresha’s UK data but 4% in Zenoti’s US/Canada data. Your own numbers are the only ones that describe your salon. The reference figures below are labelled with region and year and aren’t used in your result.
How do I find my no-show count?
Most booking apps let you mark appointments as “no-show”. Count last month’s and divide by 4 for a weekly figure, or check your diary for slots that went empty without notice.
Is “lost” the same as profit lost?
No. It’s the value of the empty slots at your average price. Your actual profit loss is lower if you’d have used product, and higher if the gap also cost you add-ons or retail.
