Missed-call text-back for salons
When you can’t pick up, the caller gets a text with your booking link so they don’t book somewhere else. It runs on your phone line, so it works with any booking app.
How it works
- A call to your business number goes unanswered.
- Your phone app tells Zapier (or Make/n8n) about the missed call.
- The automation texts the caller your booking link.
Start with the beginner Zapier recipe (2 steps, ~20 min setup, est.) or the n8n version for more control.

The text to send
Hi, it’s [Salon]. Sorry we missed your call, we’re with a client. Book here: [link], or reply and we’ll call you back. Reply STOP to opt out.

Questions owners ask
Do I need a special phone number?
You need a business line that can trigger an automation on a missed call, e.g. a Twilio number or a business phone app with a Zapier integration such as OpenPhone. Many basic carrier plans can’t do this; check your plan.
Is it free?
A 2-step Zap fits Zapier’s free plan (100 tasks/mo). Your phone app and SMS cost extra. See Is Zapier free for salons?
Will it text people who called by mistake or spam numbers?
Yes, unless you filter them. Filters need a paid Zapier plan. Keep the message short and include “Reply STOP to opt out”.
