Clients who don’t book their next visit before leaving often drift. With Acuity Scheduling’s “Appointment start” trigger in Zapier (source), you can send a friendly nudge when the service interval is up.
Zapier: trigger = Acuity Scheduling “Appointment start” (filter to services with a repeat interval, e.g. colour or lashes).
Delay: e.g. 5 weeks for colour, 3 weeks for lashes.
Send SMS or email with your booking link. Add a filter to skip clients who already have a future appointment, if your setup can check that (check your plan).
Hi [Name], it’s been about 5 weeks since your colour. Want to grab a spot? [booking link]. Reply STOP to opt out.
Editor-reviewed 2026-10-16 from vendor docs; not run end-to-end in a live Acuity Scheduling account. Menu and trigger names change, so check your plan. Only text clients who gave you their number; US texting needs A2P 10DLC registration.
Acuity Scheduling may send its own reminders. Check your Acuity Scheduling settings first so clients don’t get duplicate texts.
Does Acuity Scheduling connect to Zapier?
Yes. Zapier lists Acuity Scheduling triggers for new, canceled and rescheduled appointments and appointment start.
Is Zapier free?
Zapier’s free plan covers 2-step Zaps and 100 tasks a month. A simple missed-call text-back fits that. Multi-step flows need a paid plan (Professional from $19.99/mo billed annually), according to Axis Consulting. Check your plan.
What do the texts cost?
If you send through Twilio, about $0.0083 per US text segment plus carrier fees, and $1.15/mo for a local number (Twilio pricing, Oct 2026). Business phone apps like OpenPhone include texts in their plan.
